CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of North Georgia women’s golfers Megan Sabol and Karson Stone were named Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars earlier this week, as announced by the association’s national office.

Sabol and Stone were two of 1,011 women’s golfers across all NCAA divisions to be recognized with the prestigious honor. In total, 13 women from the Peach Belt were named to the team.

Sabol, a sophomore from Augusta, Georgia, sports a 3.76 GPA while majoring in Kinesiology/Health & Fitness. Stone, a junior from Thomasville, Georgia, has earned a 3.60 GPA in General Studies (Exercise Science).

To be eligible for the honor of WGCA All-American Scholar, student-athletes must have earned a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA.
