RALEIGH, N.C. – Kimberlee Nettles was the top performer for the No. 20 University of North Georgia rifle team, but the Nighthawks fell just short against the No. 13 NC State Wolfpack Sunday inside Reynolds Coliseum.

Nettles finished fourth overall in the match, shooting a 587 in air rifle which tied for the match’s best score in the discipline. Her score was just seven points off the school record.

Tobin Sanctuary finished fourth in smallbore, firing a 571 that included a perfect 100 string to lead the Nighthawks in the event. Ruthanne Conner also had two perfect 100 strings, one in smallbore and one in air rifle.

The Nighthawks have now concluded their fall schedule and will get back to action on January 19 at the Withrow Invitational in Murray, Kentucky.
