Tommy Reems, age 57, of Lula, Georgia, went to be with The Lord on Friday, July 14, 2017.
Mr. Reems was born on June 2, 1960 in Newnan, Georgia to the late James Thomas Reems Sr., and Peggy Nell Reed. In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Cora Reed; Fred and Vera James Reems. Mr. Reems was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was a Plant Operator for CW Matthews Construction Company with 35 years of service in construction work. Tommy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Melissa Tilson Reems, of Lula; sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Crystal Reems, of Clarkesville, TN; Brandon and Kaley Reems, of Banks County; sister and brother-in-law, Gayle and Doyle Taylor, of Demorest; sister, Annette Modesto, of Murphy, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Susan Reems, of Homer; Freddie and Debbie Reems, of Homer; Bobby and Beth Reems, of Jefferson; grandchildren, Hunter Reems, Olivia Reems, Ivaleigh Reems, Paislee Reems; step-grandchildren, Carter and Lillian Pope; and special nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Stephen Tilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
