(CLEVELAND) – The Truett McConnell University women’s lacrosse hosted Columbia College for their second Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup on Wednesday afternoon at the TMU Lacrosse Complex. The Lady Bears fell 17-5 for an overall season record of 0-3, 0-2 AAC.

The Fighting Koalas found the back of the net first in the 23rd minute but senior Mckenzie Noggleresponded with a goal herself five minutes later to match (1-1). Columbia scored four more but the Lady Bears connected for back to back goals within 20 seconds of each other right before the half (5-3).

Kathryn Hipe and Holly Foster scored the final two TMU goals in the final 30 minutes of regulation but it proved not enough as Columbia sealed the win with 10 more goals.

The Fighting Koalas tallied 38 shots in comparison to the Lady Bears’ 26.

LEADERS

Goalkeeper Christian Roberts had 17 saves on the day. Cameron Lee led with six shots while Hope Foster tallied five.
