(Cleveland)-  According to Governor Nathan Deal’s office, 66 schools in northeast Georgia are Highest Performing or Greatest Gains award winners for 2017. 

Three schools in White County are on the list of Greatest Gains Award winners.  White County Superintendent of Schools  Dr. Jeff Wilson identified them as  Jack P. Nix, Mossy Creek and Tesnatee Gap Elementary schools .  

Dr. Wilson said, “On the heals of our great CCRPI score, we received more good news to confirm that White County School System continues to be among the state leaders.  Wilson said, “I am very proud of the work that our teachers, staff, students and administrators do each day to make White County Schools such as special place.”  

J.P. Nix was received a platinum award, T-Gap a gold and Mossy Creek a bronze. 

 Greatest Gains schools must earn a three-year average CCRPI Progress Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile. The awards were developed by Governor’s Office of Student Achievement and are part of the state’s Single Statewide Accountability System.
