(Cleveland)- An armed robbery suspect is in custody following an attempted holdup at Taco Bell in Cleveland early this morning.  Cleveland Police Chief John Foster said in an email statement, “We received a dispatch call to Taco Bell early this morning in reference to an armed robbery.” 

Foster said, “ the suspect attempted to rob Taco Bell armed with a 45 cal handgun. The employee’s overpowered the suspect while police were called.”  

According to Chief Foster when they arrived on scene they took a male suspect into custody.  The suspect received some road rash from his encounter with the employees at Taco Bell during his failed attempt. 

The suspect, who has yet been to identified,  was checked by White County Emergency Medical Service and Foster said he was cleared medically.

“The suspect is now resting in the White County Jail after his encounter.,” said Foster.
