(Clarkesville)- Scammers continue to target Habersham Electric Membership Customers. Habersham EMC has been notified that some members have received telephone calls stating their power will be disconnected unless they make a payment through them or by calling a number provided.
HEMC spokeswoman Nicole Dover says members should hang up at once and report the call to their local law enforcement. Do not give out any personal information.
