(Clarkesville)- Habersham Electric Membership Corporation says some of its members have received telephone calls stating their power will be disconnected unless they make a payment through the caller or by calling a number provided by the caller.
Nicole Dover, spokesperson for HEMC said they are advising its members to hang up at once and report the call to their local law enforcement. Do not give out any personal information.
