(Clarkesville)- Power crews worked hard throughout the day Thursday and was able to get all Habersham Electric customers power back on. It has been a monumental task that started Monday night when thousands of customers lost their service during the ice storm.
Crews from several other EMC’s were called in Tuesday to help exhausted HEMC lineman with the restoration efforts.
Following the restoration efforts Nicole Dover, Spokesperson for HEMC asked all members to verify their account information to ensure it is up to date. Correct customer information aids in power restoration efforts. Dover said this can be done online through the HEMC website www.habershamemc.com by contacting either HEMC office in Clarkesville or Cleveland.
