Special thanks to Sam Owens
(Cleveland)- The Georgia Department of Transportation will officially open Phase Two of the Appalachian Parkway in Cleveland Wednesday.
Sam Owens of Cleveland has been documenting the construction of the parkway from the beginning, with his high flying drone. Last week Owen, who has permission to fly his drone over the construction area, made a flight of the entire phase two.
Owen gave us permission to use his photos and video to share with you.
GDOT will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on phase two tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10 AM. The roadway will then be open for the public to travel.
Here are photo’s and a video taken from Sam Owen’s drone
