(Cleveland)- One person was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday evening just after 6 PM, south of Cleveland.  The Georgia State Patrol investigated the accident and  GSP Cpl. Joshua Hedden said one vehicle was traveling south on Georgia 11 (Highway 129), too close to the vehicle in front of it in the southbound lane. 

Vehicle one in an effort to avoid colliding with the other vehicle traveled into the northbound lane and struck a vehicle in the northbound lane head-on. 

After the initial impact, vehicle one rotated and traveled off the roadway and overturned on its top.

The driver of vehicle one  24-year old Shon Mitchell Gowery of Clermont along with a passenger in his vehicle 19-year-old Cheyenne Lucille White of Clermont received minor injuries.  The driver of vehicle two  Letiticia Ruthann McEntire age 49 of Clermont received minor injuries while a passenger in her vehicle 46-year old Benny Anthony McEntire of Clermont suffered serious injuries. 

Cpl. Hedden advised that charges are pending at this time.
