(Cleveland)- The White County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a case of child abuse in the county. Sheriff’s Captain Rick Kelley in a news release said, on February 5th the White County Sheriff’s Office received a report of child abuse at 152 Rocket Drive.
Investigators followed up with the case and executed a search warrant at that location last Thursday. Kelley said there were four children in the home ranging in ages from 10 to 15 years old.
The sheriff’s office investigation found a history of abuse. Kelley said 44-year old Scott Shelby was arrested and charged with 3 counts of Cruelty to Children 1st degree and 1 count of Aggravated Assault.
Shelby still remains in the jail and Kelley said as they continue their investigation there could be additional charges.
