CLEVELAND, Ga. (Dec. 4, 2018) – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the fall student-athletes that have been awarded the 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honor and nine Truett McConnell University Bears were named.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 grade scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

Junior Ivie Nobles was recognized from the women’s cross-country team while senior Zachary Syler was recognized on the men’s side. Women’s volleyball had the most representatives; Harris Anne WalkerAnna MumpowerAbby Mumpower and Jordan Henshaw.

Finally, juniors Jordan Cornwell and Susanna Peppers of the women’s soccer team were named Scholar-Athletes while graduate student Giovanni Giraudo earned the honor on the men’s side.
