(Cleveland)- The new regulation dealing with Short Term Rentals in White County seems to be working. At Monday’s county commission meeting the board approved eight land use applications dealing with short term rentals.
Prior to coming before the commissioners the applicants had their request approved by the county planning commission.
White County Commission Chairman Travis Turner said they are pleased with the way these new request moved through the process. ” All the applicants really seem to be trying to adhere to the new regulation, they’ve gone out and obtained their affidavits that are now required as well as all the other information that the planning department has put into practice, now it has caused some additional work for the planning department but if it helps the customer get the information on the front end it makes it easier on this side getting the approval, ” said Turner.
The commissioners worked for several months prior to approving the new regulation that went into effect July first.
