Mr. Jack M. “Bud” Adams, age 72, of Dahlonega passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017.

 

Bud was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was born on August 16, 1945 to the late Clinton and Alma Davis Adams.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Joey Adams and brother Bill Adams.  Bud enjoyed life to the fullest.  He loved to laugh, ride horses and coach Legion baseball.  He was an avid GA Tech football and lady TENN Volunteer basketball fan.  Bud was most proud of his long pony ride as a boy that started in Dahlonega and followed a wagon train full of gold all the way to the state capital. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church.  

 

Survivors include his wife Libby Adams, Dahlonega; daughter and son in law Sabra and Rex Cain, Dahlonega; step son Frank Youngblood, Dahlonega; step son and step daughter in law Wiley and Hazel Wimpy, Dahlonega; step daughter Bonnie Coleman, Dahlonega; sister Susan Loggins, Dahlonega; grandchildren C.J. Carney, Callie Adams, Angel Cain, Justin Cain, Jacob Payne, Gabby Payne, Jeremiah Payne and Ozie Ray.

 

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Concord Baptist Church. The Rev. Lyman Caldwell and The Rev. Roger Dunagan will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
