Mr. Charles Ermond Patterson, age 73, of Dahlonega passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018.
Charles was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was born on May 10, 1945. He was preceded in death by his father Homer Patterson and sister Sue Harkins. Charles loved his job as a brick mason. He worked for several companies which included laying brick for several area schools. Charles took tremendous pride in his work. He loved to watch westerns on TV, especially every Gun Smoke episode he could find. Charles loved going sight-seeing, listening to music, and dancing. He loved his mother very much.
Survivors include his daughter and son in law Donna and Daniel Turner; mother Estelle Patterson; brother Kenneth Dorsey; sisters Barbara Jean Butler, Shirley Ruth Davis, and Mildred Jane Chastain; brother William Kermit Patterson; sister and brother in law Patricia “Chris” Louise and Don Head; sisters Deborah Gail Evans and Hilda Diane Savage; granddaughter Danielle Turner; girlfriend Kathy Royster; best friend Hazel Norrell; special Papa’s boy Jacob Hardin; and best friend Bill Evans.
Funeral services are scheduled for 5:00 PM Thursday, August 23, 2018 in the chapel of Banister Funeral Home. The Rev. Lance Fuller will officiate. Interment will follow in Bethlehem-Jones Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
