MICHAEL CLAY STRANGE, age 64 of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 following an extended illness.
Born in Demorest, Georgia on January 20, 1953, he was a son of Clay Strange of Cornelia, Georgia and the late Nezzie Free Strange. Mr. Strange enjoyed keeping up with the local news for many years, front porch sitting, and watching traffic. He was a member of the Good News Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kent Strange & Keith Strange as well as several uncles and aunts.
Survivors in addition to his father include, brother, Jerry Strange of Cornelia, GA; uncles & aunts, Rev. Lloyd Free and Clara Free, Gene and Doris Strange, Joyce Strange, all of Cornelia, GA; special friends, June and: John Dyer and family of Demorest, GA; several cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the service hour on Saturday.
