(Clarkesville)- The Clarkesville Field Service Office of the Georgia Department of Veterans Service recently moved to Demorest. A news release from the office says they are ready to assist veterans and their dependents in Suite B at 185 Scoggins Drive. Georgia Department of Veterans Service Commissioner Mike Roby points out, “This new location will help our veterans get the service they deserve and will make getting additional assistance more convenient.”
The Demorest Veterans Field Service Office is co-located with the Habersham County Health Department.
Roby encourages Georgia veterans living in Banks, Franklin, Habersham, Stephens, and White counties to go by and visit Rose Ann Rudisill, manager of the Demorest office.
The office is open from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except closed from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch. Also closed on Wednesdays as they provide service to the Toccoa satellite location.
No appointment is needed. Assistance is “first come, first serve.”
