GAINESVILLE, Ga. (Nov. 14, 2018) – Sophomore Sierra Kendall recorded her second double-double of the season with 16 points and 16 rebounds on Wednesday night in an Appalachian Athletic Conference showdown against Brenau University. The Lady Bears dropped their second AAC road game of the season to the Golden Tigers, 60-48.

TMU went on a strong 6-0 run to win the first and only quarter of the night (13-11). Brenau came out hot in the second quarter draining three 3-pointers to eventually outscore TMU by eight points. The Golden Tigers led at the half by five (25-30).

The Lady Bears earned the first four points of the third quarter to come within one point of Brenau but that would be the closest TMU got to the Golden Tigers the rest of the way. Brenau pushed to lead by as many as 14 in the final 10 minutes of the game to put the game out reach.

LEADERS

Freshman Camilla Howell followed Kendall with nine points while fellow freshmen Quan Holton and Re’Tavia Floyd added eight points apiece. Holton also registered five rebounds.

The Lady Bears are set to return home to the Benjamin F. Brady Arena on Saturday, Nov. 17, for another AAC matchup against Montreat College at 2:00 p.m.
