(Cleveland)-Last Friday was a special day at Jack P. Nix Elementary School, it was their career day and all of the presenters were former J.P. Nix students. Erica Owens, School Counselor said in an email, a big emphasis was put on the fact that these successful adults with good careers were at one time sitting in Jack P. Nix classrooms.
They all received a silver pencil (a Jack P. Nix tradition) for a job well done! Owens said, “We are super proud and excited to have had them come back to talk with our students.”

Dr. Kyle Turner- UGA professor
Joe and Addi Vandergriff- Nora Mill
Weston Fuller- architect
Chase Trammell- police
Dr. Nick Fitzpatrick- pediatrician
Chris Thomas- White Co. BOE transportation, trash company, race car (for fun!)
Jason Ward- store manager Slack Auto Parts Cleveland
Matt London- Farmer
and Bradley Alexander- White Co. Fire Department
Owens said, “It was a great day!” Jack P. Nix is truly a great place to be and is a special, special place for so many.
