(CLEVELAND) – Freshman Re’Tavia Floyd of the Truett McConnell University women’s basketball team claimed a spot on the Appalachian Athletic Conference All-Freshmen Team, announced the league Wednesday.

Floyd led the Lady Bears during her freshman campaign averaging 13.6 points a game. Floyd compiled a total of 42 steals, 38 assists and 81 rebounds. In addition, Floyd currently ranks 18th nationally in free throw percentage (0.838). On Jan. 5, 2019, Floyd went 13-for-15 behind the free throw line. Floyd’s season high was recorded on Jan. 31, 2019, against Point University when she scored 28 points.

Furthermore, fellow freshman Natalie Nixon was named to the Champions of Character Team while senior Sarah Hartshorn and junior Kinley Mitchell earned spots on the All-Academic Team.
