Flash Flood Warning issued February 6 at 8:12AM EST until February 6 at 2:15PM EST by NWS Peachtree City GA
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Barrow County in north central Georgia…
Northern Forsyth County in north central Georgia…
Lumpkin County in north central Georgia…
Banks County in northeastern Georgia…
White County in northeastern Georgia…
Dawson County in north central Georgia…
Hall County in north central Georgia…
Jackson County in northeastern Georgia…

* Until 215 PM EST Thursday.

* At 810 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Law enforcement and Emergency
Managers are also reporting water levels rising to near bankfull
and have reported or expect roads to close. Up to two inches of
rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Gainesville, Winder, Jefferson, Commerce, Cumming, Dahlonega,
Cleveland, Dawsonville, Homer, Braselton, Auburn, Flowery Branch,
Oakwood, Lula, Statham, Maysville, Arcade, Nicholson, Hoschton and
Alto.

Additional rainfall amounts of one to three inches are possible in
the warned area.
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
