(Cleveland)- A fire Friday morning did minimal damage to a barn west of Cleveland.  White County Public Safety Director David Murphy in an email said, at 6:54 AM Friday  White County Fire Services with mutual aid from the City of Cleveland and the Lee Arrendale Fire Brigade were dispatched to 4127 HWY 115 West to a report of a barn fire.

Murphy said, upon arrival fire units found a 40×100 stack house used for chicken litter storage, with fire showing within the structure. According to Murphy fire personnel made a quick interior attack using hand lines to extinguish the fire.  The owner was on scene and removed litter away from the wall so firefighters could check for hot spots and tin for the extinguishment of hot spots.

Murphy said there were no injuries reported.
