February 2019 Wetter And Warmer Than Normal


(Sautee)- Weather data for White County in February shows almost 13 inches of rain was recorded and the temperatures, on average,  were above normal. 

WRWH Weather Reporter Bill Kinsland in compiling weather date from the three  official weather stations in the county shows  the average rainfall during the month was 12.98 inches, which is 7.04 inches above normal for the month and year-to-date we have received 21.27 inches  of rain which is 9.31 inches above normal.

During the month the greatest 24-hour rainfall was 2.34 inches which was recorded on February 21st   at the Sautee weather station.  

On the temperature side the average temperature was 47.4 degrees  that is 6.9 degrees above normal.  The highest temperature during the month was 74 degrees recorded on February 8th here at WRWH and the lowest reading was 20 degrees  also recorded here at WRWH on February first.
