Danny Lloyd Umberhant, age 64 of Commerce, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018.
Born in Habersham County on April 26, 1954 to the late John Otis, Sr. and Dorothy York Umberhant. He was a carpenter by trade and musically inclined. Mr. Umberhant enjoyed reading and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his sons, Daniel Umberhant and Jake Umberhant both of Toccoa; daughters and son-in-law, Amy Umberhant of Toccoa and Malissa & Shone Posey of Cornelia; grandchildren, Ashley Posey, Christopher Posey and Taylor Posey; great granddaughter, Malinda Morgan Waters; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve & Mary Umberhant of Maysville and Rev. John & Joann Umberhant of Mt. Airy; 3 nephews and 2 nieces.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 pm, Friday, December 14, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Terry Benfield officiating. Interment will follow in Baldwin City Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army, Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720, the Habersham County American Legion Post #84, and the Rabun County DAV Chapter #15.
The family will receive friends from 11 am until the funeral hour on Friday at the funeral home.
