(Cleveland)-  The issue of short term vacation rentals in White County is a bit closer to being approved by the commission board.

Thursday during a called meeting the county commissioners received an update of some recommendations to the county’s Land Use Ordinance. Those recommendations have been reviewed by the county attorney, Mary Jane Henneke.

The commissioners after examining each of the revisions instructed the staff to develop a document which will include the short term rentals along with other revisions of land use that will be addressed at a, to be announced, public hearing.

The commissioners will wait until that public hearing and comments from the public before voting on a final document, that is not expected to happen until at least June 4th.
