( Cleveland )- White County Board of Commissioners have approved expenditures that will help expedite the services for the county park and recreation department and Tax Commissioners Office. During a called meeting Monday the board approved a service agreement with REC-1 for management software for the recreartion department.
Park and Recreation Interim Director Joe Gailey told the commissioners, the system can be used for membership and sign up for youth and adult programs.
The commissioners also have given the approval for an upgrade in the web services for the White County Tax Commissioners Office. Tax Commissioner Cindy Cannon said the current system is unusable and the new system would allow users to log on anytime day or night and make payments and utilize other services.
White County IT Director Robert Hamrick said the system, “ is very featured, rich and easy to use application, it takes the management of credit card info away from the county.” Hamrick stated. “ It relieves the county of that liability.”
Cannon said, the system can also be used by other county offices without extra charge.
Both systems are expected to be implemented as soon as possible.
