(GAINESVILLE) – Ninth District Congressman Doug Collins won re-election to a second term in the United States House of Representatives. Tuesday night the congressman said, “I’m grateful for the tens of thousands of Northeast Georgians who made their voices heard tonight. Since you first hired me to work for you in Congress two years ago, I’ve listened to what you’ve had to say. Today, you spoke loudly and clearly that we work well together, and I thank you.”
He also said, “There’s a lot we don’t yet know about the way forward in the 114th Congress, but one thing is certain: we have more opportunities than ever before to show what real leadership looks like.
Results from the Secretary of States office with 20 of the 20 counties reporting:
Doug Collins ( R) 80.67 % 145,856
David D. Vogel (D) 19.33 % 34,946
