(Cleveland)- The new Cleveland City water storage tank  on Underwood Farm Road is just about ready to be put into service.  Monday night City Engineer Brian Rindt reported to the city council that crews are finishing up the painting work and water has been put in the tank.

Rindt said they need to wait for water sample test  results before they put the 300,000 gallon tank  into service, later this week.

The contractor asked for, and received, a five day extension of the completion date deadline due to at least that many rain dates they encountered.

Once the new water tank is fully operational Rindt said they can turn their attention to rehab work  on the  “Warrior Tank “  north of Cleveland.
