(Cleveland)- Lots of people braved the rainy weather Sunday afternoon to help Cleveland Worship Center dedicate their new worship facility on the Helen Highway. The afternoon was filled with excitement for the work that led up to that day.
Mike Spence, North Georgia District Superintendent for Congregational Holiness Churches told the crowd, “ we are here to celebrate the union of three time periods, the past, the present and the future,” of this church.
Pastor Marc Turner reflected on the past when then Cleveland Congregational Holiness Church held it’s first service in 1950 to the present day. Turner said this new building is only the beginning of things you will see on the hill at 453 Helen Highway, with phase two and three to follow.
Turner thanked the community for their support saying, “ I’m so humbled just to see the amount of people supporting this ministry, in this church, it encourages us that what we are doing is a good thing.”
Groundbreaking for the facility was held in January of 2017 and construction was by Ron Cantrell Construction Inc., of Cleveland.
