Sanatation Rate Increase

(Cleveland)- The Mayor and City Council in Cleveland is proposing a sanitation rate increase. This is an across the board  25 percent  increase affecting both residential as well as commercial customers.

The proposed increase would mean a 2 person household will see an increase of $2.50.

Councilman Bradley Greene said the increase is needed to help the city meet their budget obligations in this department.

The council voted this week to place the rate increase on the June meeting agenda for approval.
