Census Estimates, White County Population Up 1,740


5/26/17 (Undated)- The U.S. Census Bureau released some update population estimates this week. According to  Census Bureau White County’s population estimate as of  July first, 2016 was  28,884, that compares to 2010 census figure of 27,144, and an increase of 1740 residents. 5/25/17 (Atlanta)- White County’s preliminary unemployment rate for April was 4 percent. That is down 3 tenths of a percentage point from the 4.3 percent revised rate for March.
