Some Flooding In White County Following Steady Rain

4-19-19 (Cleveland)- Following  3.58  inches of rain since midnight Thursday night, several areas of White County are experiencing flooding. White County 9-1-1 dispatch reports flooding on Dean Mountain Road, Roy Powers Road, Airport Road.  USGS webcam in downtown Helen shows the Chattahoochee River was overflowing it’s banks in some areas at noon Friday.

White County Judge Denies Bond For Former Auto Dealer Mitch Simpson

4/18/19 (Cleveland)  Enotah Judicial Circuit  Superior Court Judge Joy Parks has denied bond for former Cleveland auto dealer Mitch Simpson, who was arrested March 26th, following complaints by customers after the dealership, located south of Cleveland, closed suddenly leaving vehicle purchasers without paperwork to register the vehicles and obtain tags.   Officials initially obtained three warrants before he was arrested and …

Body Of Missing Canton Woman Found Wednesday

4/18/19 By Rebecca Hubbard  (Accesswdun) (Cleveland)- The Georgia Bureau of Investigation will be performing an autopsy on the body of a missing Canton woman,  Belinda Butterfield after her body was discovered Wednesday in the Chestatee River.  Lt.
