(Cleveland)- blitzsportsga.com reports in their weekly Fan Vote for High School Soccer Player of the Week, it was White County’s entire backline that earned the honors after garnering exactly 700 votes of the 1,283 final tally. BLITZ pick Steven Bennett of Habersham County as the boys Player of the Week.
According to Blitz, the Lady Warriors are ranked seventh in Class 4A, which in their opinion is too low. White County has been on fire, going a perfect 7-0. The offense gets a lot of credit behind such players as Bella Ramey and McKinley Jones, and rightfully so. Goalkeeper Ansley Seabolt has also been recognized lately with a Player of the week award. However, the defensive unit makes everyone’s job far easier.
The group consists of four underclassmen: sophomore Aubrey Dowdy and juniors Cassidy Campbell, Skylar Williams, and Hannah Gerrells. Blitz also elevates the team by saying, this foursome has been the staple for White County’s flawless start, and have shut down opposing offenses, allowing just three goals through seven matches.
