ASHEVILLE, N.C. | Fresh off of qualifying for NAIA Nationals this weekend, Truett McConnell track athlete Tyler Barber was named Appalachian Athletic Conference Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office Mondayafternoon.
Barber finished atop the podium at Emory University against many NCAA Division I and II schools with a time of 1:52.40 in the 800 meter dash. The time was good enough to qualify to run in the NAIA National Championships in May. The TMU track and field teams will next take part in the Susan Rouse Invitational hosted by Southern Wesleyan on April 7-8. |
